In our tyre hotel we store your wheels dry and safe. We wash them, check the tread depth and send you a message when it is time to switch again.
Questions about tyre change and tyre hotel
When should I switch to winter tyres?
A good rule of thumb is when temperatures are regularly below 7 °C, usually from October. Since 1 July 2025, you may not drive on clearly unsuitable tyres in winter conditions in Denmark. With snow, ice or slush, your car needs winter tyres or all-season tyres marked M+S, and 3PMSF is recommended in harsh winter conditions. Otherwise you risk a fine of DKK 1,000 per tyre.
What is a tyre hotel?
We store your wheels dry and safe between seasons. You avoid carrying them home, and we check them before they go back on.
What is the legal tread depth?
The legal minimum is 1.6 mm on all tyres. The Danish Road Safety Council recommends at least 3 mm on winter tyres, and we also recommend replacing summer tyres at 3 mm.
