In Denmark, cars must pass a periodic vehicle inspection called syn. A failed test costs both time and money. We check the same items the inspection centre does and fix the faults in advance.

If you want to skip it entirely, we drive the car to the inspection for you and collect it again. You get a message once it has passed.

Questions about preparation for the vehicle inspection (syn)

When does my car need its inspection?

A normal car needs its first inspection (syn) 4 years after it was first registered, and then every 2 years. The Danish Road Traffic Authority (Færdselsstyrelsen) sends a notice 8 weeks before the deadline, and you can look up the date in the Motor Register (motorregister.skat.dk). Missing the deadline can lead to a fine.

What do cars most often fail on?

Common remarks are lights and bulbs, brakes, worn tyres, rust on load-bearing parts, and loose or worn steering components.
